T-Mobile Arena Plaza Is Now Paramount+ Plaza

Toshiba had held the naming rights for the space since the arena's early years. Casino.org reported that the original sponsorship agreement, made in 2015 with the Las Vegas Arena Company partnership of AEG and MGM Resorts International, expired last year. The outdoor space opened with T-Mobile Arena in 2016 and has been the main fan gathering area on that side of the Strip ever since.

The new deal does not change the arena's name or where anything is located. Paramount+ Plaza remains directly outside T-Mobile Arena, between Park MGM and New York-New York, connected to The Park. It is still the place to use as a meeting point before a show or game, just with a name visitors will need to get used to seeing on event listings and wayfinding.

The first official use of the new name comes during Zuffa Boxing's Garcia versus Benn fight week. FOX5 reported that the plaza will host the public ceremonial weigh-in on Friday, September 11. That is a free outdoor stop, not a ticketed arena event, so it is the part of the weekend even curious visitors can drop into without committing to the Saturday fight.

On Saturday, September 12, the plaza's large screens are scheduled to show Noche UFC from Glendale, Arizona before doors open for Garcia and Benn inside T-Mobile Arena. Paramount says visitors can also find the Cube, a customer lounge with an activation tied to the Paramount+ series MobLand. The boxing event itself streams on Paramount+ worldwide except in the United Kingdom and Ireland, according to both reports.

This is a sizeable piece of Strip real estate, not just the strip of pavement at an arena entrance. Paramount and T-Mobile Arena describe it as two acres with three stages, suited to fan fests, broadcasts, concerts and outdoor activations. Casino.org notes that the plaza has long been the gathering point for Golden Knights fans, while the arena has hosted more than 100 events a year and draws more than one million visitors annually.

That means the partnership has room to show up in ways that are more useful than a renamed sign. A visitor can reasonably expect show-night programming, sports viewing and studio themed pop-ups to rotate through the space. Nothing specific has been announced beyond the debut weekend, so do not plan a trip around a rumored activation. Check the arena's event page close to your date instead.

If you are meeting friends for an arena event, use Paramount+ Plaza in your directions and messages. The old Toshiba name will linger in maps, old articles and local conversation for a while, but venue listings are already using the new one. The location is unchanged, which is the important part when the Strip is busy before a major event.

Arrive early if the plaza activity itself is part of your plan. A public weigh-in or outdoor broadcast can draw people well before arena doors open, and the nearby bars and restaurants at Park MGM, New York-New York and The Park give you somewhere to land before or after. The name is new. The basic value of the spot remains the same: it is one of the easiest places on the Strip to turn an arena ticket into a fuller evening out.
