8/10Park MGM
Center-south Strip, by T-Mobile Arena, tram to the Bellagio6 min read
Smoke-free, stylish, great food, and a comfy bed. One of my favorites on the Strip, a solid 4 out of 5.
Best for: Anyone who wants a clean, smoke-free casino, a stylish room, and some of the best food options on the Strip.

I checked into Park MGM in a two queen with a Strip view and tried the 20 dollar trick at the front desk. They did not have any upgrades available, which I was fine with, but they did hand me a 50 dollar food comp, so I will take that.
Walking into the room, everything was clean, tidy, and smelled fresh. The thing that caught my eye was the decor, kind of an industrial steampunk look on the fixtures that I really liked. Here is the honest version of my stay.
What I liked
- It is a smoke-free hotel, so the casino floor smells clean instead of getting smoked out, my favorite part
- Stylish, fresh room with a cool industrial steampunk decor and a comfy bed I slept well on
- One of the best food selections on the Strip, including Eataly with its artisan restaurants
- Really good center-south location by T-Mobile Arena with a tram to the Bellagio
What to know
- The bathroom is small, about on par with New York-New York, though the layout is much better
- The casino is slot-machine heavy and not the biggest
- My Strip view was partly blocked by the casino rooftop and a wall section that did not go any higher
The room
I was on the 18th floor with a Strip view and I could see the MGM Grand, the Coca-Cola and M&M's stores, Target, and even a bit of New York-New York. Part of the view is the casino rooftop, which I did not really mind, and one wall section blocked a full view, but overall not bad.
The bathroom is small, similar in size to New York-New York but with a much better, less cramped layout. Clean tiling, a standing shower, and it felt stylish. The bed was comfy and I had a good sleep here.
Pool, casino, and food
There are three pools, the south, the north, and an 18 plus east pool, and there is no shortage of chairs. It is one of my favorite small pool areas on the Strip. The casino is slot heavy and not huge, but it has table games with 15 dollar minimums and a sports book, and the big win is that it is smoke free.
Food is where Park MGM really shines. There is Eataly with around seven artisan spots, plus Best Friend, where I had a really spicy ramen I would recommend. You can also check out the free House of Gaga exhibit with clothing from Lady Gaga's collection.
David's tip
The smoke-free casino is the standout. If you hate getting smoked out at the slots, this is one of the few places on the Strip where the floor actually smells clean.

Cheap bed on the Strip for around 80 dollars all in, but the room gets musty and there is not much to do. Three stars.

A budget pyramid with a great theme and a comfy bed. I give it a 3.5 and would pick it over the Excalibur any day.

Center Strip, great pools, and a fair price when you catch it. A solid 4.5 out of 5 for me.
