Top Gun Vegas Attraction Lands $12.5M Strip Site

The plan centers on flight simulators and a full-scale recreation of the Hard Deck, the bar and restaurant from Top Gun: Maverick, plus retail space and what the company is calling immersive, experiential dining. Advent Allen has described the ride component as a pulse-pounding mission using state-of-the-art thrill ride systems, though it has not released specifics on ticket price, ride capacity or exact opening date.

Mark Advent, the company's co-founder, is the same designer behind New York-New York Hotel & Casino's exterior, so this is not his first time building a themed Strip attraction from scratch. He said the goal is a venue where the excitement of aviation, the spirit of Top Gun, and the energy of Las Vegas come together in one place.

Advent Allen and Paramount first announced a Top Gun attraction back in May 2025, tied to a different location at The Strat with a summer 2028 opening target. That version stalled before construction started. Neither company has said outright whether the south Strip site replaces the Strat plan entirely or represents a separate project running alongside it, so treat the original Strat announcement as outdated until one of the companies says otherwise.

What is confirmed is the paperwork. Clark County's Building Department already has a prerequisite application on file for an entertainment facility with restaurant and retail uses at the new address, which is the standard first step before architectural plans and a construction timeline get locked in.

The south Strip has quietly become a landing spot for attractions that do not need a casino attached to them. The Pinball Hall of Fame next door already pulls a steady crowd on foot traffic alone, and the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign a few blocks north is one of the most photographed spots in the city. A Top Gun venue built around a bar, a simulator ride and retail fits that same pattern of standalone entertainment rather than competing for space inside an existing resort.

There is nothing to book yet. No opening date has been set, and Clark County still has to work through permitting before anyone breaks ground. If you are the kind of visitor who already builds an afternoon around the Pinball Hall of Fame or a photo at the Vegas sign, this is worth watching as a future stop on that same stretch, but it is not a same-trip plan for anyone visiting this year or next.
