Eagles Add Four New Sphere Dates, Residency Hits 72

Four January 2027 shows go on sale August 14 as the band cites overwhelming demand, first reported by FOX5 Las Vegas and Stereoboard.
The Eagles keep adding to a residency that was already the biggest thing Sphere has ever hosted. Four new shows just landed, January 15, 16, 22 and 23, 2027, pushing the total run to 72 performances since it opened at Sphere in September 2024. FOX5 Las Vegas first reported the new dates, and Stereoboard confirmed the band is citing overwhelming demand as the reason.
This is the second round of new dates we've covered here. Back in July, the band added four December 2026 shows and pushed the total to 68. Now it's 72, and there's still no sign of an actual closing night.
The New Dates and Ticket Info
The four new shows land January 15, 16, 22 and 23, 2027. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 14 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com, starting at $175 including taxes and fees, the same all-in starting price the residency has held since its earlier rounds.
Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey make up the current lineup. Between now and the new January dates, the band still has shows scheduled through November and December 2026, so this run now stretches into its third calendar year.
Grandstand and premium packages have historically run well above that $175 floor once fees and better sightlines are factored in, so treat the advertised starting price as the entry point, not the typical ticket.
Why the Band Keeps Extending
Sphere hasn't released hard sales numbers, but the pattern speaks for itself. Every batch of new dates gets added because the last one sold out, and 72 shows across roughly two and a half years is a run no other act at the venue is close to matching.
It's worth remembering Don Henley told CBS Sunday Morning back in June that this could be closer to the end than the beginning for the band as a touring act. Four more months of shows getting added since then suggests either Henley was speaking loosely or the band keeps finding reasons to say yes to one more round.
There's also a track record fueling ticket demand beyond the room itself. The band opened 2026 by becoming the first act to receive quadruple Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, for Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975, a catalog milestone that keeps casual fans showing up alongside longtime ones.
Booking Around It
Sphere sits next to The Venetian, so a January 2027 Eagles date pairs naturally with a Strip-adjacent stay on that end of the resort corridor rather than a cross-Strip trip after the show.
Tickets go live August 14 at 10 a.m., and given how fast the last three rounds moved, buy the day they drop if you want a specific date rather than whatever's left over.
My bottom line
The Eagles added four new Sphere dates for January 15, 16, 22 and 23, 2027, bringing the residency to 72 shows since it opened in September 2024. Tickets start at $175 and go on sale August 14 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Buy early, this residency has sold out every round so far.
