Eagles Add Four More Sphere Dates, Residency Hits 68

Tuesday, July 7, 2026·4 min read

The band tacked on two more weekends in December, stretching what is already Sphere's longest-running residency even further.

The Eagles were already the act with the most nights ever played at Sphere. As of Tuesday morning, they have more. Representatives for Live Nation Las Vegas and the venue announced two new weekends, December 4 and 5, then December 11 and 12, pushing the total run to 68 shows since it opened in September 2024.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the new dates, and BroadwayWorld picked up the announcement within the hour. If you have been telling yourself you will catch this show eventually, eventually just got two more chances, at least for now.

The New Dates

The four new shows land on December 4, 5, 11 and 12. Tickets for that round go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Pacific through ticketmaster.com. That is on top of three weekends already on sale, September 18 and 19, November 13 and 14, and November 27 and 28, so anyone hoping to see the band before the end of the year now has four separate weekends to choose from.

Sphere has not published pricing for the new December shows yet. Past rounds in this residency have opened at $175 before fees, and there is no reason to expect a different starting point this time.

Why This Keeps Happening

The residency opened at Sphere in September 2024 and has been extended in small batches ever since, four shows here, a handful there, each time billed as close to the end. That pattern is part of why 68 shows feels less like a fixed number and more like a running total.

There is a reason to think this batch might actually be closer to the finish line than the last one. Don Henley told CBS Sunday Morning recently that this could be it for the band as a touring act. "I think this year will probably be it," he said. "I've said things like that before, but I feel like we're getting toward the end." Henley has walked back retirement talk before, so take it as a strong signal rather than a guarantee, but it is the closest the band has come to putting a date on its own ending.

What It Means If You Want to Go

Sphere shows sell differently than a normal Strip residency. The room, the screen and the sound system are still the draw as much as the band on stage, and that has kept demand high deep into a run that started nearly two years ago. If Henley's comments hold up, this December batch is a genuine chance to see it before the band actually does wrap this chapter, not just another extension in what has felt like an endless one.

If you are booking a trip around one of these dates, Sphere sits next to the Venetian, which makes it an easy walk if you are staying on that end of the Strip. Grab a room nearby, buy the ticket the day it drops, and do not assume there will always be another round added.

My bottom line

The Eagles added a fourth and final weekend, December 4, 5, 11 and 12, bringing their Sphere residency to 68 shows, with tickets on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Given Don Henley's own comments about this being close to the end for the band, this round is worth treating as a real deadline rather than another routine extension.
