Carín León Takes Over Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Tuesday, August 25, 2026·4 min read

The Sphere headliner's sold-out residency run doubles as a resort-wide takeover with a custom smoothie, a pop-up taquería and limited merch, first reported by The Music Universe and confirmed by Van Nuys News Press.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is handing large parts of the resort over to Carín León for two weeks. The partnership, billed as Carín León Takes Over Fontainebleau, runs September 1 through 14, timed to the Sonora born singer's sold out seven show residency at Sphere, first reported by The Music Universe and confirmed by Van Nuys News Press.

This is not a themed cocktail bolted onto the lobby bar for a slow week. Fontainebleau is folding dining, nightlife and retail across the property into León's brand for the full run, and it is built to peak during Mexican Independence Day Weekend, September 10 through 13, already one of the busiest stretches on the Vegas calendar.

What Actually Changes At The Resort

Cymbiotika Wellness Bar, the juice and wellness spot Fontainebleau opened on property earlier this year, is debuting a Carín Power Smoothie made in collaboration with him, built from banana, strawberry, peanut butter, whey protein, almond milk, honey and cinnamon.

Starting Thursday, September 3, León's own restaurant takes over a space inside the resort. El Coyote del Norte is a two story taquería he opened in his hometown of Hermosillo, Sonora, built around northern Mexican cooking, and this marks it landing in Las Vegas even if only for the run of the takeover.

LIV, Fontainebleau's nightclub, folds León into its lineup for the two weeks, and the resort is running custom photo moments and a limited edition merchandise collection through dining, nightlife and retail spaces on property.

Why It's Built Around Sphere And Not Just A Random Two Weeks

León's seven Sphere shows in this window are already sold out, which means Fontainebleau is not chasing ticket buyers so much as capturing everyone who is already going to be in town for the residency and has nowhere specific to be between shows.

Layering that on top of Mexican Independence Day Weekend is the more deliberate move. September 10 through 13 already pulls a heavy crowd to the Strip on its own, and León, a proud ambassador for Hermosillo and northern Mexican food and music, is about as direct a fit for that weekend as a Vegas resort could book.

Should You Plan A Trip Around It

If you are in Vegas anytime between September 1 and 14, and especially during Mexican Independence Day Weekend, expect Fontainebleau's public dining, nightlife and retail spaces to be visibly themed around León even if you never set foot in Sphere. The smoothie, the taquería pop-up and the merch are property amenities, not residency perks tied to a ticket.

If you do not already have Sphere tickets for this run, do not count on getting them now, the shows are sold out. What is still fully in your control is where you stay. Mexican Independence Day Weekend already runs hot on Strip room rates on its own, and a sold out Sphere residency stacked on top of it is not going to make Fontainebleau or nearby rooms any cheaper the closer you get to September 10.

My bottom line

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is turning its dining, nightlife and retail spaces over to Carín León from September 1 through 14, timed to his sold out Sphere residency and peaking on Mexican Independence Day Weekend, September 10 through 13. The Sphere shows are sold out, but the resort's smoothie, pop-up taquería and merch are open to anyone on property, and rooms for that stretch will only get more expensive the longer you wait to book.
