Backstreet Boys Add New Year's Weekend Shows at Sphere

Three more Into the Millennium dates land December 31 through January 2, first reported by FOX5 Las Vegas and the Review-Journal.
The Backstreet Boys are not slowing down at Sphere. The band added three more dates to its Into the Millennium residency, December 31, 2026 and January 1 and 2, 2027, giving fans a second straight New Year's run inside the giant screen, first reported by FOX5 Las Vegas and confirmed by the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Kats! column.
If you are already thinking about a New Year's trip to Vegas, this is worth knowing now, before the good seats and the hotel rooms around Sphere disappear.
The Dates and the Numbers Behind Them
Into the Millennium launched in July 2025, making the Backstreet Boys the first pop act to headline Sphere. Since then the residency has drawn more than 750,000 fans across 47 consecutive sold-out shows, and this new run comes on top of that streak rather than replacing any of it. The band already played a New Year's Eve show at Sphere on December 31, 2025, so this December 31 date makes it two years running.
Fans have made a habit of showing up dressed head to toe in white, a nod to the cover art of the band's 1999 album Millennium, which the show leans on heavily alongside a run of the group's other hits. The residency's calling card is Sphere's own hardware, band members flying through the room using the venue's spatial rigging while the wraparound screen fills with matching visuals.
When Tickets Go on Sale
Fan club presale opens Tuesday, August 18 at 10 a.m. Pacific. Artist presale follows Wednesday, August 19 at 10 a.m. Pacific, but you need to register by Monday, August 17 at 10 p.m. to get an access code for that window. General public tickets go on sale Friday, August 21 at 10 a.m.
New Year's dates at Sphere have sold out fast in the past, so if you want in, treat that August 21 date as a real deadline rather than a soft one.
Booking Around It
Sphere sits behind the Venetian and the Palazzo, so either resort keeps you a short, mostly indoor walk from the door on show night, which matters when you are also fighting New Year's crowds on the Strip. I have covered before whether Backstreet Boys tickets at Sphere are worth the price during a normal residency run, and that same math still holds, the room itself is the draw, but expect New Year's dates specifically to price and sell above a typical weeknight.
If a New Year's Eve show is the anchor of your trip, book the hotel now. Strip rooms near Sphere fill up for New Year's regardless of any single concert, and a sold-out Backstreet Boys date on top of that will not make rooms any easier to find closer to December 31.
My bottom line
The Backstreet Boys added three Into the Millennium dates at Sphere for December 31 through January 2, their second straight New Year's run there. Fan club presale starts August 18, artist presale August 19, and general tickets go on sale August 21 at 10 a.m. Book a room at the Venetian or Palazzo early if a New Year's show is part of your trip.
