Sphere Las Vegas Shows 2026: What's Playing and Tickets

7 min read

Sphere is the giant glowing orb behind The Venetian, and it is the single most distinctive thing built in Vegas in years. Inside, a wraparound screen and a sound system you feel in your chest create something no traditional theater can.

But what actually plays there confuses people. There are two very different things happening: the immersive Sphere Experience films, and the big-name concert residencies. Let me break down what is on in 2026, what each one costs, and how to get tickets without overpaying.

01

The Two Kinds Of Sphere Shows

First, the Sphere Experience films. These are immersive cinematic productions made specifically for the venue, screened multiple times a day. They are the everyday, walk-in option and the easiest way to see what Sphere can do.

Second, the concert residencies. Major artists build custom visual productions for the screen and play multi-night runs. These are event tickets, priced like big concerts, and they sell out.

If you just want to experience Sphere, the films are your move. If a specific artist you love is residency, that is a different and pricier ticket entirely.

02

The Sphere Experience Films

Postcard from Earth has been the anchor immersive film, a journey-through-nature production directed for the dome that shows off the screen and the haptic seats. It is the default thing to book if you want the Sphere experience.

The venue has been rotating in additional immersive films, so check the current schedule when you book, the lineup expands over time.

These run frequently throughout the day and week, which makes them easy to fit into a trip. The Sphere Experience is the one nearly everyone should do at least once.

03

Concert Residencies

Sphere's residencies have featured major acts building bespoke visual shows for the screen. These are headline events, not casual drop-ins, and the production values are unlike a standard arena concert.

Pricing is concert-tier and varies wildly by artist and seat. Expect to pay well above the immersive film price, and expect the best residencies to sell out fast.

Check Sphere's current calendar for who is playing during your dates. If a favorite is on, book early. If not, the immersive films still deliver the venue at a fraction of the cost.

04

How To Get Tickets

Buy direct from the official Sphere site. For the immersive films you can usually grab tickets close to your dates. For residencies, get on it the moment tickets release.

Resale exists for sold-out residencies but the markup is brutal. For the films there is no reason to use resale, face value is fine and seats are plentiful.

Prices scale with seat location, more on that in the seating guide. For a first visit to the films, you do not need the most expensive seats to be blown away.

My Take For 2026

If you have never been, book the Sphere Experience. It is the thing everyone tells you to do for a reason, and it is the most affordable way in.

If a residency artist you love is playing during your trip, splurge on that and skip a Cirque show to afford it. The residencies are genuinely once-in-a-lifetime.

Either way, get to the building early. The exterior screen and the interior atrium with its robot host are part of the experience, and you want time to take it in before the show.
