The Weather: Hot Start, Real Relief by Month End
Early September still runs warm. Highs in the high 90s to around 100 are normal for the first week or two, so the pools are absolutely still in play.
By the last week of the month the daytime highs slide into the mid to high 80s, and the evenings get pleasant enough that walking the Strip after dark is actually comfortable instead of a survival exercise.
Rain is rare. Humidity is low. The big thing to remember is the day-to-night swing: it can be 95 at 4pm and 70 by midnight, so bring a light layer if you plan to be out late.
My rule: if you care about pool time, go early September. If you care about walking and outdoor patios, go late September.
