If you asked me for the single best month to visit Vegas, April is in my top two. The weather is perfect, the pools are fully open, the desert is gorgeous, and the festival season is in full swing. It hits a sweet spot before the brutal summer heat shows up.
The catch is that everyone else knows it too, so certain weekends are packed and pricey. Let me break down the weather, the events, and how to get the most out of an April trip.
The Real April Weather
April is close to ideal. Daytime highs run roughly mid-70s to mid-80s, climbing as the month goes on, with comfortable nights in the upper 50s. It is warm enough for pools and short sleeves but not yet the oppressive heat of summer.
Pools are fully open and the day club season is in full swing. This is the first month of the year you can reliably plan a pool day without worrying about it being too cold.
It can still get windy and the nights cool off, so pack a light layer for evenings. But on the whole, April is about as good as the weather gets here.

April is festival month in the broader region. There are huge music festivals around this time that pull massive crowds into Vegas, and they spike rates and fill the airport on those weekends. If a big festival is on your dates, expect a younger, busier, more expensive city.
