Best Las Vegas Residencies 2026: Full Lineup Guide
8 min read
Vegas residencies used to mean a faded legend doing the same set for a decade. Not anymore. In 2026 the residency game is the biggest names in music playing purpose-built rooms, and the lineup is the strongest it has been in years.
I have sat in most of these rooms. Here is who is worth the premium, who is overpriced, and how to pick the right show for your trip.
The Heavy Hitters at the Sphere
The Sphere changed everything. Artists do limited runs here, not full-year residencies, because the production is a different animal: wraparound LED, the haptic seats, audio that feels piped into your skull.
When a big act books the Sphere, it sells out fast and prices run high (often well into the hundreds even for upper bowl). U2 set the template, and the rotating lineup since has kept the bar high. Check who is in residence during your dates.
Worth it? If your favorite act is playing the Sphere, yes, it is a bucket-list room. If you just want to see the venue, the Postcard From Earth experience runs regularly for a fraction of a concert ticket.
Dolby Live at Park MGM: The Pop Powerhouse
Dolby Live (inside Park MGM) is the best mid-size room on the Strip, about 5,200 seats with sound built for music. Lady Gaga built her Vegas legend here, and the room has hosted Bruno Mars and other A-list pop runs.
Every seat is decent, but the lower bowl center is the sweet spot. Floor tables cost more and put you close but flat. I would rather sit slightly back and elevated than be on the floor staring up.
This is my top recommendation for a classic Vegas pop residency. The room makes the artist sound great and you are never miles away.
Resorts World Theatre: Big Names, Modern Room
Resorts World Theatre seats around 5,000 and has rotated through Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and others. It is newer than most Strip theaters and it shows: comfortable, sharp sightlines, strong sound.
Pricing sits in the mid-to-upper tier. The center sections from rows 10 to 20 are the value play. Avoid the far side seats where the stage angle gets awkward.
If a name you love is here, book it. The room rarely disappoints.
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace: The Original
The Colosseum is the room that started the modern residency era with Celine Dion. It still hosts marquee names and seats around 4,300. The acoustics are excellent and the history is real.
Higher production shows shine here. Seats in the mezzanine center often beat the back of the orchestra for sightlines, and they cost less. Do not assume floor equals best.
It can feel a touch dated next to the Sphere, but for a polished, song-forward residency it is still elite.
Cirque du Soleil: The Year-Round Backbone
Not music residencies, but the most reliable show tickets in town. O at Bellagio (water) and Mystere at Treasure Island remain the gold standard. KA at MGM Grand and Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay round out the top tier.
O is the one to see if you only see one Cirque show. It is expensive and worth it. Mystere is the best value Cirque on the Strip.
These run nearly every night, so they are the easy plug for any open evening. Book mid-week for better pricing and availability.
How to Pick the Right One
Pick by artist first, room second. A so-so act in a great room still beats a great act in a bad seat. Once you know who you want, target the value sections I flagged instead of defaulting to the floor.
Mid-week shows (Tuesday through Thursday) cost less and the crowds behave better. Weekends carry a premium for everything.
Buy from the official venue or Ticketmaster to avoid resale markups. If a residency is not selling out, prices often drop closer to showtime, so it pays to wait on the softer names.
David X Las Vegas earns a commission on bookings made through this link, at no extra cost to you. It never changes my honest take.
Frequently asked
Which Las Vegas residency is the best in 2026?
If your favorite act is playing the Sphere, that is the unbeatable experience. For a classic Strip residency, Dolby Live at Park MGM is the best room with the best sound. Pick by who is actually playing your dates.
How much do Las Vegas residency tickets cost?
It ranges widely. Cirque shows and softer-name residencies can start in the low hundreds or less, while Sphere concerts and A-list pop runs climb into the high hundreds for good seats. Mid-week and slightly-back seats save real money.
Where do I buy residency tickets safely?
Buy from the official venue site or Ticketmaster. Avoid third-party resale unless a show is sold out, and even then compare prices. Softer-name residencies often drop in price close to showtime.
