Suncoast Las Vegas Opens New Quick Bites Food Hall

Steak 'n Shake, founded in 1934, brought its steakburgers and hand dipped shakes, with the Western BBQ 'n Bacon Steakburger and the Frisco Melt called out specifically, plus shake flavors like chocolate, banana, Oreo Cookie, Birthday Cake and Kit Kat.

Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders, founded in 2004, is serving grilled, hand breaded or sauced tenders alongside salads, sandwiches, wraps, homemade dips and crinkle cut fries, with the chain marketing its chicken as free of antibiotics, added hormones, steroids and preservatives. The existing Starbucks near valet rounds out the hall and keeps its regular hours, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Boyd Gaming has been steadily working through Suncoast for a while now. Quick Bites follows the reopening of Du-Par's in a remodeled space, a renovated front desk, the new Solstice ballroom, a refreshed bingo room, the debut of William B's Steakhouse, a redesigned sportsbook and an upgraded high limit gaming area. Still to come are a new center bar, hotel room renovations, exterior updates and parking lot work. Suncoast has described Quick Bites as one of the last remaining pieces of a three year phased renovation at the property, which suggests this round of upgrades is close to wrapped.

Steak 'n Shake and Huey Magoo's are not a new pairing for Boyd. The same two brands are already running in the food court at the company's Fremont property downtown, so this reads like Boyd repeating a combination it already knows works rather than experimenting on Suncoast.

Suncoast sits in Summerlin near Alta Drive and Rampart Boulevard, well away from the Strip, and it draws a mix of locals and visitors there for golf or a quieter stay. A resort like that doesn't have a dozen restaurants to fall back on the way a Strip mega resort does, so a real fast casual option inside the building matters more here. If you're booked at Suncoast for a conference or just prefer the west side, Quick Bites gives you a real meal without a drive. Boyd has not said whether the same combination is coming to any of its other Las Vegas properties, so for now Suncoast and Fremont are the only two places in town to get it.
